In eager anticipation of one of my most favourite Chinese drama "My Sunshine" based on the novel of the same name by Gu Man, I has eventually been able to follow two episodes of the drama airing daily with excitement and amusement although I'm certainly in the examination period.
Tiffany Tang and Wallace Chung had a perfect chemistry to bring my ideal couple Zhao Mo Sheng and He Yi Chen out of the novel.
A lawyer was extraordinarily handsome and impressive looking full of confidence, calm and collected but also with something like aloofness that made people uncomfortable.
A photographer fled away to United States for seven years, leaving her most beloved person behind in severe despair and unbearable pain within his heart.
They both reunited after seven years and fell in love again that led to their marriage arranged by He Yi Chen whose behaviors was entirely indifferent and as cold as ice for "paying back" the pain Mo Sheng had left in his heart. The theme of the story was in grey and melancholy, but if we get into the novel deeply enough, we would taste the sweetness and cheerfulness inside.
The novel, to me, has a flavour of a cup of coffee :') it appears dark and not eye-catching for its gloomy colour, and even first tastes so bitter that unless you are patient 'till the final drops of it, you would never see how sweet the goodness of the cup of coffee is.
I used to be like the girl named Zhao Mo Sheng who has a thick skin shamelessly chases and pesters someone she loved :) She dares to fight for her love and even give up on her female self-esteem :p Similarly, I went beyond public opinion, regardless of the possibility that many would regard me such a pitiful idiot, arriving to Saigon for three times just in order to encounter him even within very few short hours, writing countless messages and emails with fully comprehending that he will never reply me :)) ha ha at least, I have no regrets at the moment for living to the fullest because of someone I love the most.
Back to the point, the drama seems to go into more details than the novel since there are plentiful of scenes that I haven't read in the story. The whole cast's performance was brilliant except the young Yi Chen was rather disappointing because he was not of the stuff the Yi Chen was made of through the words of Gu Man.
Anyway, I'm honestly addicted to the drama and can't take my eyes off the screen daily to follow each episode. Without finishing them, it is difficult to concentrate on my study no matter how close the deadlines are going to hit me =)) You may judge my childish and unprofessional attitude but don't worry, I've barely left my work undone or imperfect because I'm capable of burning whole nights to complete them.
I believe, it's worth! You should give a try ;)
