Is this wedding season? I've attended to three wedding ceremonies this year and am about to get ready for another at the end of year. It comes back home to my heart each time I must participate in wedding days of my friends, specifically the peers which somehow reinforces my sense of desire to start a little stable family for my own.
There is an apparent contradiction between the need for a marriage, the default mode of which most of mature girls always yearn for, and another for freedom and unending journeys all alone without the string of responsibility; in other words, you are not put in a cage like a bird watching free spirits out there through your thirsty eyes. In the meantime, the wild things, nevertheless, are more than willing to be caught, put into the cage with someone in order to avoid their unbearably lonesome adventures which are uneasy by all mean.
Sometimes I'm a misogamist, but ridiculously keen to draw lots of marvelous images if one day I become a bride for real. Honestly, I prefer the idea of pre-wedding photoshoots, wedding gown, decoration, the vow, the ceremony and honeymoon, to the thought of marriage. What if I get married but refuse to step into marriage life? Is it possible for me to make it real? lol I honestly intensively love the period since pre-wedding to honeymoon. It must be sweet and heavenly until the marriage life has begun, I bet :p jk~
Okay, here is something about Vietnamese traditional wedding ceremony that I dislike, and I'm not gonna held mine in that way in the future, at least on the big day of my life:
- disparate guests that both the bride and groom have no idea who they are include: neighbors, colleagues, friends and unnameable acquaintances of the newly married couple's parents, distance relatives and blah blah -_- It's like a salad bowl!
- guests are scarcely punctual. If your invitation tells them about the wedding ceremony at 5:30 pm, it means they will come to your party around 6:15 pm to 6:45 pm. Damn! It's annoying because I'm a punctual person, then have to wait for over an hour. Always like that. Well, it's traditional and I must follow the freaking ridiculous Vietnamese time.
- not all the guests in the party indeed concern about your wedding ceremony. their purposes are food and even some of them take leftovers home in their bags =="
- it's like a chaos.
In the future, I'm bound to celebrate a couple days of wedding ceremony =.= One on the beach, sacredly and formally, my fiance and I will make our vows for each other graced with our beloved friends and immediate families. Those who unconditionally love us and care for our happiness in the biggest of our life - the time we are two-becoming-one. Another day for the crazy tradition, parents have the right to invite hundreds of people as their wish =.=" it's terrible!
=))))
Oh c'mon, Hal! You've even got a bf not yet. Now you're planning for your wedding ceremony =))) Amen!!!~ Blame for the weds I must attend recently. Gosh, it's about to have another at the end of year. Aha, I'm in wedding mood :"> That's why... Promise I will write a post about my wedding plan in details later =))))
Nice weekend,
xoxo
~ Hal
