These days, I am initially contemplating how my life was made. Either it is programmed before I was born or what I choose in the present is very connected to the inevitable consequences in the future. Anyway, both of the theories are such a platform for my excuses when life stumbles and kicks me out of the stable balance.
Basically, if you believe we have free will to hold the wheel of life, then you shall make your own decisions and take any responsibilities for your choices. As a Buddhist, I also have faith on karma because either good or bad life always depends on my choices. There is one saying “You reap what you sow” which clearly indicates us law of causality.
One time, life became such a heavy thing to me since I was unable to receive what I must have deserved. According to the belief in karma, I perceive that I might sowed the seeds of sins in the previous life, so I was reborn in order to use this lifetime to fix them. Instead of moaning all the time and sticking myself to unanswered questions about many personal adversities, I’m supposed to do better and get optimistic about the new living after that.
Do you believe in fate?
No I don’t. Tarot cards formerly said that Willian is my destiny and things go so perfectly for him and me. Based on the fortunes, I thought a spiritual force indeed made all my decisions and somehow I aimed to the one direction – him. Suddenly he became the whole universe to me since the tarot cards had made me obsessed with the definite destiny of us. How ridiculous of it in me! Those fortunes merely convinced me that we would never split up again next time which seriously entertained the miserable soul endless illusions.
However, I soon acknowledged that what is called “destiny” is just the way you create. With such a programmed life you trust, you would tend to shape your living into the determinism without any ideas of changing because you feel as if you are not in control. Besides, you are never responsible for your decisions once you follow the ideas around the word “fate” and feel helpless. A person who puts himself at the mercy of fate is only a useless creature on the Earth.
Different choices will walk you down to different paths. The only definite rule we are given about making choices is that we have to make them or they will make us. We cannot get away from making choices whether we think they are programmed or made freely because to choose is to be human.
Life is the outcome of my decisions. If I choose to live positively and healthily, it will come to good in the end. As you know, a patient probably makes his wound better if he means to fight against the disease. On the other hand, it will get worse if he gives up on his fate and gets pessimistic. Your attitudes towards life draw your own destiny, don’t they?!
Needless to wonder about this point anymore :’) I think I can find the reason to handle with life up to now.
Be good,
Hal
