Into the mid-night sun journey

I've just finished the last episode of the dorama "Byakuyakhou" (Into the mid-night sun journey). It was pretty intense, albeit beautiful. The whole story was full of dark...there was no sun. Though it was like a bitter fruit, if you chew very slowly, it indeed tastes sweet! I couldn't help but cry my eyes out for feeling pity for them, for their miserable destinies and sinful love - the love in the mud, the love in silence and long distance, the love that led to countless crimes. Despite it, they still wished to walk together, hand in hand, under the sun one day. Silly! Their pure dream sounded pure and plain to anyone but was too hard to make it work because their journeys were endlessly in the dark and the only sun was each other's existence.

When a person dedicates his life to someone else, the recipient may suffer more than the giver. Ryouji entered the world of vice and dabbled in crimes to support Yukiho, committed to become "a ghost" for her safety and happiness. He paid for all his crimes in the end by the death...well, he finally could be freed out of the seemingly long mid-night sun journey but Yukiho must keep her life in agony in spite of the loss of her only sun. It hurts!

I will write about this doroma at Xmas :) At the moment, I'm overly overwhelmed and my emotions are complicated at the moment. It's like I'm completely obsessed by it and unable to describe my current feelings for the doroma. Still remember my brother warned me before "You shouldn't watch it as your mood ain't good". My mood had been quite upbeat until it came and hit me this hard. I'm glad it's over today! Kay, ready for the next horror movie "Annabelle" tomorrow.

Night the world,

xoxo

~Hal

PS: Honestly, I hope to receive the book as my 22nd birthday gift this year. It is such a bitter cup of coffee in the winter, but still sweet and warm to me somehow.
